FAQ’s

Q – What is the difference between detailing and valeting?

ADetailing goes beyond just a standard car wash. While a commercial car wash might clean (or valet) your vehicle’s exterior and vacuum the inside, detailing is a meticulous, in-depth process designed to restore your car’s appearance, inside and out. It can involve thoroughly cleaning or decontaminating surfaces, leather correction, paint correction (machine polishing), and protection applied to surfaces. Detailing can help maintain or increase a vehicle’s resale value and extend its lifespan by protecting it from environmental damage, like UV rays, road grime, and moisture.

Q – How much does detailing cost?

A Each package is tailored to your individual needs based on the condition your vehicle arrives in and the desired end result. Contact us to discuss and receive a quote, otherwise you can visit the Services & Pricing page on the website for indicative costs.

Q – What insurance does Parx Detailing have?

AParx Detailing provide all customers with absolute peace of mind, when carrying out any work on your car or bike, by being fully insured with one of the best detailing policies currently available. We also have 24 hour remote access CCTV in operation within our workshop, which is located within a secure gated CCTV monitored site, with key code entry.

Q – What is Paint Correction?

APaint Correction is and alternative to getting your vehicle re-sprayed. Paint correction is the removal of surface defects using a range of polishing compounds that remove a minute amount of clear coat which removes the scratch from the paint’s surface. Finer compounds are then used to refine the surface leaving it glossy and defect free.

Q – How long will I be without a car for?

ADepending on the service you choose, we would need your car for anything from half a day (for a pre sale detail) through to a week for multiple stages of paint correction and ceramic coating. Typically a single stage paint correction on a small to medium size car (ie. 911, M2, M3 etc) would take a full day. When Ceramic coating we would need the car for approx 0.5-0.75 day for prep and coating, and a further 24 hrs to allow time for the coating to cure before being exposed to the elements.

Q – Do you have any examples of cars you have worked on in the past?

AA vast majority of our work is posted on Instagram but you can also see cars and bikes we have worked on via Facebook and on the Gallery page of the website.
